Leon F Ruiz will be exhibiting his work and the featured painting.

Join the 61st Annual Halifax Art Festival on November 4 and 5, 2023, located in the heart of downtown Beach Street in vibrant Daytona Beach. As the second oldest continual festival in Florida, it promises a delightful blend of fine arts, crafts, music, delicious food, and pure fun. This fantastic event offers free admission and ample free parking for artful shoppers and talented artists alike.

This year, the festival is honored to feature Leon F Ruiz as the showcased artist, making it a special occasion, especially since Rosa Chavez, his wife, held the featured artist title in 2021.

With over 200+ artists representing local, regional, and national backgrounds, the festival transforms into a treasure trove of original art that's both beautiful and affordable. Whether one is an established collector or just beginning their art journey, there's something for everyone to discover.

A comprehensive marketing and publicity campaign attracts an impressive 30,000 shoppers from the 'World's Most Famous Beach,' the bustling I-4 Orlando/Tampa corridor, and the beloved local 'snowbirds.'

The festival comprises two outstanding sections: Competitive Fine Arts and Crafts, which undergo a juried and judged process and are eligible for exciting prizes and patron support. Additionally, there are Non-Competitive Arts, which go through a juried selection but are not in contention for awards. Regardless of the category, all the artworks are unique one-of-a-kind pieces.

The fun continues with live music on both Saturday and Sunday, with ample seating available on Beach Street, where attendees can enjoy the melodies and savor tasty snacks. Festival-goers can also choose from a variety of festival foods or explore the many fine bistros and restaurants along Beach Street.

The 61st Halifax Art Festival is proudly presented and produced by the Guild of the Museum of Arts & Sciences. Not only does this festival serve as the signature fundraiser for the Museum, but it also extends its support to the Cici and Hyatt Brown Museum of Art and the Charles and Linda Williams Children's Museum.
